Increased rigidity and chassis strength, along with advanced tuning, allow the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty to utilize the same engines found in the F-250 to a greater degree. Payload maxes out at 3,198 kilograms with the proper configuration, while the maximum conventional tow rating is 8,618 kilograms. Fifth-wheel towing raises the maximum up to 11,204 when fully equipped. Either rear- or all-wheel-drive is available. For drivers who need added off-roading capabilities beyond four-wheel drive, the available FX4 Off-Road Package includes a transfer case, off-road shocks, and fuel tank skid plates.
